Telehandlers T4512 - Next Generation
The compact Weidemann Telehandler T4512 is unique in its combination of lifting height, width and machine performance: With a lifting height of 4.5 m, a wide range of stacking and loading tasks can be completed. Thus, it can also easily overcome most side panels. The payload is a considerable 1.25 t, so big bale forks of any kind or various materials with high weight are no problem. The compact dimensions with 1.56 m width and a height under 2 m are the real highlight of the machine. With these ideal dimensions, the telehandler can pass through low passages and drive into narrow spatial situations and it can work optimally indoors over there. The latest version of our bestseller now drives with the electronically controlled traction drive, ecDrive (Electronic Controlled Drive), and electric parking brake with auto-hold and hill-hold function. This allows the machine to be driven and applied completely as needed.
Compact dimensions in the 2 x 2 m class
- The width and height of the compact Weidemann telehandlers are respectively under 2 m. As a result, our telehandlers are best suited for use in confined spaces and therefore unique in their combination of lifting height, width and machine performance.
- All telehandlers from our compact series have a particularly small internal radius. The maneuverability achieved as a result of this makes the machine very versatile on each and every application site.
ecDrive: Electronically-controlled traction drive
- Smart operation and working: With the electronically controlled traction drive ecDrive (Electronic Controlled Drive), the machine can be driven and used properly. Four different drive modes were specially implemented for this by Weidemann. Auto mode and eco mode are always available as standard. It is possible to optionally select the attachment mode or the M-Drive mode. This provides customers with the maximum flexibility as the machine can be configured according to their requirements.
- The electronic control reduces loss in traction drive and ensures a higher degree of efficacy when compared with existing solutions, and improved efficiency. A lower power requirement enables operation at lower rpm.
Electric parking brake
- The electric parking brake is automatically applied when the machine is stationary, the travel direction is set to neutral, or the operator leaves the seat. The parking brake is automatically released when the machine is set in motion via the gas pedal. This provides the operator and their working environment with the maximum level of safety and comfort. The machine can therefore be very efficiently operated using the electric parking brake.
- The electric parking brake offers both a comfortable auto-hold and a hill-hold function. This prevents the machine from rolling away and therefore increases the level of safety when working.
- The electric parking brake can also be activated or deactivated manually by pressing a switch. The operator is always in control and can work with the machine according to his own needs and preferences.
Transport on car trailer
- Save time and transport costs: Thanks to the compact dimensions and low weight, the machines can be easily transported on a car trailer.
- The tie-downs are optimally affixed to the machine. In this way it guarantees that standard transport safety can be performed.
- Depending on the machine type and equipment, transport can also include the attachment.
Reversible fan
- At the press of a button, dirt is blown out of the cooling fins and off of the intake surfaces of the engine hood. The hydraulic motor and pumps are designed in such a way that the air flow can be reversed in the fan (reverse option). This protects the machine against damage from overheating, and prevents additional manual maintenance efforts.
- The reversible fan increase the service life of the engine and provides a plus-point in terms of comfort for the operator.

Quality
High-quality powder coating
- In comparison to the usual wet paint, the powder-coating increases protection against corrosion and, as a result, significantly extends the machine’s value retention. In addition, the procedure is based on powder retrieval and is therefore particularly environmentally-friendly.
- The durable powder coating guarantees value retention and ensures an accordingly high resale value for the machine.
Sturdy telescopic arm
- The telescopic arm is both sturdy and stable in design, and is positioned in the middle of the machine, which counteracts the twisting. The parallel guide is hydraulic and the sliding elements in the interior pipe of the telescopic arm are maintenance-free. This reduces wear and increases the service life of the machine.
Performance
100 % connectible differential lock
- Compared with a self-locking differential, the connectible 100 % differential lock ensures maximum traction and thrust power where required. This increases the machine’s efficiency.
- The differential lock is switched off during normal traction drive, this provides safety and causes less tire wear, thus saving in operating costs.
High hydraulic performance
- A Weidemann machine has sufficient hydraulic performance and is therefore suitable for the operation of many different attachments.

Optimal tires
- Putting the correct tires on a machine plays an important role in practical application. If the tires are coordinated with the ground and the area of application, the operator can optimally work with the machine.
- Alongside maximum traction, the selection of correct tires also ensures minimal wear and a comfortable ride in the machine. These aspects also increase the service life of the tires, while simultaneously increasing economic efficiency.
- So that optimal performance is achieved on any substrate, there are different treads available for selection depending on the model: EM tread, AS tread, SureTrax tread, RP tread, MPT tread, Multi-use tread, and Bibload tread. This already ensures the maximum flexibility ex works in the machine configuration.
Easy-to-read digital display
- Always have the most important functions in view: With the digital display, the operator always has an overview of the work. Alongside the standard displays, like temperature, fuel volume, and operating hours, the active functions are also displayed in the cockpit, for example the activated electrical functions, the continuous operation of the 3rd control circuit or the activated differential lock.
Compact dimensions for optimal maneuverability
- Compact dimensions and directional stability ensure optimal agility and high maneuverability of the machine.
- In terms of its dimensions, the machine is ideally sized. This also makes it possible to perform works in confined spaces.
30 km/h driving speed
- With the corresponding engine version, the machine optionally reaches a speed of 30 km/h. This enables faster implementation of the machine from A to B with the corresponding time-saving and therefore increases productivity.
Appropriate engine without exhaust gas after-treatment
- The great advantage of the standard engine is that it complies with exhaust emission standard Stage V, yet manages completely without exhaust gas after-treatment. This engine version is well-suited for light applications, like the simple handling of material.
- With the standard engine, we are looking at a 3-cylinder engine, which is impressive with its high torque with corresponding efficiency. Due to the fact that no exhaust gas after-treatment is required for this engine, the maintenance costs are automatically reduced.
Electronically-controlled traction drive (ecDrive): Auto mode
- The auto mode ensures the machine's usual 100 percent performance. Full power and performance are available at all times.
Electronically-controlled traction drive (ecDrive): Attachment mode
- The attachment mode perfectly supports the use of hydraulic attachments. In the attachment mode, the machine’s diesel engine and the attachment are always optimally used to capacity. This ensure maximum productivity and the best-possible work result. The operator is relieved and can work focused for a longer time with the machine.
- In the attachment mode, the manual throttle is used to set the rpm of the diesel engine, and the driving speed is regulated by the slow drive facility. Using this, speeds can be set very precisely from 0.1 km/h via the display. This guarantees a constant feed for the attachment. If, however, driving or reversing movements need to be performed more quickly, operating the foot pedal at any time will override this and the machine can be run at maximum speed.
- If the load is too high on the attachment (e.g. cut material of various kinds in front of a mulcher), the machine automatically reduces the driving speed in order to make the highest possible performance available to the attachment. If the load is reduced again, the machine returns to the driving speed previously set.
Electronically-controlled traction drive (ecDrive): M-Drive mode
- The M-Drive mode corresponds to a gas pedal mode. Here, the engine speed of the diesel engine is set with the hand throttle, and the driving speed is controlled with the gas pedal.
- With the M-Drive mode, the desired rpm always applied, and a result, inching is redundant. This enables comfortable working with attachments, e.g. a spreader, as well as the efficient handling of material with just a few journeys.
Compact telehandler
- The compact Weidemann telehandler are unique in their combination of lifting height, width and machine efficiency. With the all-wheel steering and all-wheel drive, they are absolutely stable and well-equipped for many different work tasks.
- Thanks to the all-wheel steering and the divided frame, the Weidemann telehandlers are particularly maneuverable and very stable. The machine’s low center of gravity likewise strengthens the stability.

Working economically
- Economic efficiency is one of the most important characteristics that a machine should provide for efficient application. The quicker and more time-saving a machine is maneuvered, the higher the level of performance.
- With Weidemann machines, the economic efficiency stands for technically mature solutions, like the powerful drive, strong thrust powers, powerful kinematics, high maneuverability, distinguished stability, and an efficient quick hitch system for attachments.

Efficient change of attachments
- Thanks to the hydraulic quick hitch system, attachments can be replaced both quickly and comfortably. Good visibility of the quick hitch plate makes it particularly easy to swap the attachment.
- With the 2-handed operation when uncoupling, the changeover of attachments is decidedly safe.
- The machine can be immediately put back into operation after the attachment change. This increases productivity and economic efficiency.
Consistent operating philosophy
- There is a consistent operating concept with clearly divided and ergonomically assigned switches and keypads in all Weidemann machines. All machines are very similar, if not the same, in terms of the manner of operation. This has the advantage that an operator can quickly establish themselves in different Weidemann machine, and then work productively.
- The Weidemann operating philosophy provides the operator with a simple understanding of the machine, whereby they are able to orientate themselves well and work safety. This is apparent, for example, in the recurring elements, such as the Jog-Dial, joystick, display, general switch assignment, etc.
Inch brake pedal: Engine output where it is needed.
1. No pressure on the inch-brake pedal: Full power for the drive.
2. Lightly pressed inch-brake pedal: Speed is reduced, more power in the work hydraulics.
3. Heavily pressed inch-brake pedal: Speed is further reduced, even more power in the work hydraulics.
4. Fully pressed inch-brake pedal: The wheel loader stands, full power in the work hydraulics.
- Benefit of the inch-brake pedal: Less wear in the operating brake, as well as an optimal power distribution of the engine output.
- The inch-brake pedal and the hydrostatic drive make it possible to work very sensitively with the machine.
Pressure release on the telescopic boom
- The button to release the pressure is easily accessible on the outside of the telescopic boom. This way, the various hydraulically operated attachments can be changed more quickly and efficiently. This also works when the engine is running.
- When the pressure release is activated, the active hydraulic control circuit is switched to pressureless and the hydraulically-operated attachments can be effortlessly and safety swapped.

Variety of equipment
- Weidemann machines have comprehensive and high-quality standard equipment. Moreover, it is possible to individually configure e.g. engine, drive, driver’s cab or hydraulics, depending on the application purpose and model. It always guarantees that the machine fulfills the individual demands and preferences of the customer.
Rear hydraulic connections
- The telehandler can be equipped with hydraulic connections on the rear. As a result, the application possibilities for the machine are expanded, because the hydraulic rear attachment or the tipper trailer can be operated.
- The machine can be applied multi-functionally for different activities. No additional vehicles and/or machines are required.
High flow performance hydraulics
- The machine can be optimally equipped with high flow performance hydraulics. This allows for the operation of front attachments with a high oil requirement (e.g. a snow blower). As a result, the machine’s application range is extended.
Front and/or rear electrical connections
- The machine can be equipped with electrical connections to the front and/or rear. As a result, electrically operated auxiliary functions of attachments, for example a sweeper with a water-spray facility, can be operated. In addition to this, it is possible to changeover the auxiliary functions of hydraulic attachments. Operation is comfortable and via the joystick.
- The electric functions (tentative/resting) can be individually assigned to the operating elements of the joystick, as desired.
- Electrical connection on the front and/or back ensure that a number of attachments can be operated using the machine. This again increases the machine’s application range.
Pressureless return including leakage oil line
- Specific attachments with a hydraulic motor require a pressure-free return flow. The hydraulic oil flows into a large dimensioned, separate line over the oil cooler and the oil filter, back into the hydraulic oil tank. This presents the advantage that the attachment cools the oil returning and can guide it back into the hydraulic oil tank without increased dynamic pressure. As a result of this, components of the machine and the attachment are protected.
- Where required, the overflow oil line guides the overflow oil from the oil motor back to the tank with max. 2 bar. As a result of this, the housing pressure in the hydraulic oil motor of the attachment is minimized.
Appropriate engine version
- The optionally available engine was developed for the professional application of performance-demanding attachments. Here, the exhaust emission standard Stage V was implemented by installing a diesel particulate filter (DPF) in combination with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). With this technology, there is no need to add urea solution (DEF).
- The whole engine unit, including the exhaust gas after-treatment, comes from the manufacturer so that all components are perfectly in tune with one another, and the machine automatically regenerates at the corresponding operating temperature. Where operation frequently stop-starts, it is likewise possible to perform a manual regeneration.
- We are dealing with a powerful 3-cylinder common rail engine, which is captivating with its high output density.
Three types of steering for maximum flexibility
- To be able to achieve maximum maneuverability and flexibility, there are three types of steering available: All-wheel, front-axle and crab steering. With this the operator is able to maneuver the machine to the centimeter within small areas, and drive safely at high speed.
- 1. All-wheel steering: Full maneuverability and power development in the smallest area.
2. Front axle steering: For safe operation, even at higher speeds.
3. Crab steering: Sideways operation for shunting to the centimeter when subject to confined spaces.
Flexible trailer operation
- The machine can pull a trailer with the optional trailer coupling. Depending on the machine, there are different systems available. The maximum possible weight of the trailer is dependent on the model and equipment.
- For operation on public roads, the machine must be approved in Germany as a self-propelled machine and may only be used within the intended framework. Internationally, other regulations may apply. The distributor will provide this information on-site.
- The option of pulling a trailer expands the machine’s spectrum of application and offers more flexibility, as no additional towing vehicle is required.
Comfort
Comfortable cabin
- The spacious and comfortable cabin fulfills the safety requirements of the current European machine guidelines for ROPS (Roll Over Protective Structure) and FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure), and provides a lot of head and movement freedom.
- The complete glazing and the deep-drawn windshields of the cabin give the operator an excellent view of the attachment and the entire work area. This guarantees safety, because the operator is always able to see their working environment.
- The interior is characterized by excellent ergonomics, a generous provision of space, and many individual configuration options for the operator. The cabin provides protection against weathering influences and, as a result, enables comfortable working conditions for better concentration.
Adjustable steering wheel and steering column
- The steering wheel and column can, to a great extent, be individually adjusted both in height and in incline. This makes it possible for each operator to work very ergonomically and with concentration with the settings appropriate for them.
Ergonomic Joystick
- The joystick sits securely and comfortably in the hand. Control is therefore direct, while also being sensitive. Thus the operator always has machine and the most important functions under control.
- Alongside the standard functions, like selecting the travel direction and the speed, other functions, e.g. the differential lock, the 3rd and 4th control circuit, High-Flow, and all electrical functions, can be operated using the joystick, depending on the model. This enables the comfortable one-handed operation of attachments.
- The concentration of the most important functions on the joystick ensures for comfortable working, even over a longer period of time, and increase the overall efficiency when working with the machine.
Ergonomic cockpit
- Plenty of legroom, clearly arranged controls, comfortable operator’s seat, and optimal view of the attachment. A work area that motivates the operator and fully supports them.
- The operator’s comfort is increased through the well-coordinated equipment and they are able to optimally work with the machine for longer.
Comfortable working environment
- The efficiently designed heating and ventilation system with fan, fresh air filter and well-placed air nozzles keeps the cab in a comfortable working climate.
- There are always sufficient air nozzles installed in the different cab versions by Weidemann, which enable good air circulation and the working climate is pleasant for the operator.
Air-conditioning system
- The optionally available air-conditioning system, ensures the provision of a comfortable working environment inside the cab with warmer ambient temperatures. It ensures a high air flow rate and is characterized by an optimized cooling capacity. The operating element for control and the air nozzles are always in the best-possible position.
- The air-conditioning system increases the operator’s comfort. It enables fatigue-free working conditions as it reduces the operator’s stress when ambient temperatures are warm.
Ventilation as required
- The cab has a large, wide-opening door and opening windows. With the two-piece door, the upper window pane can be opened up and affixed on the back. Gap ventilation through the window and/or door is likewise possible. Depending on the model, it is also possible to open the rear windshield and the whole door, which in turn can be affixed to the back.
- The different ventilation options ensure fresh air in the can, even without the use of air-conditioning, and increase the operator’s comfort when ambient temperatures are warm.
Proportional speed limiters (slow operational facility)
- With the proportional speed limiters (slow operational facility), it is possible to achieve very slow speeds at a constant engine rpm in the first driving mode. This presents an advantage when using attachments, which are operated with a constantly high rpm, yet simultaneously with very low driving speed.
- The proportional speed limiters (slow operational facility) enables comfortable and focused working with attachments, e.g. a sweeper, a hedge cutter, or a mulcher, even over a longer period of time.
Manual throttle
- The hand throttle enables the manual setting of a constant rpm for optimal operation of an attachment. The variable setting is performed comfortably and precisely via a corresponding potentiometer.
- The manual throttle ensures comfortable and focused working with attachments, e.g. a sweeper, a hedge cutter, or a mulcher, even over a longer period of time.
Flat-Face Hydraulic Couplings
- Easy attachment changeover: The flat-face hydraulic couplings can be cleaned easily, ensuring less soiling in the entire hydraulic system. When the hydraulic hoses are coupled, hardly any leaking occurs, keeping hands, the machine, the attachment, and the ground clean.
- With the flat-face hydraulic couplings, hydraulically operated attachments can be coupled even under pressure, which saves time. All coupling types are mounted on the same bulkhead and are thus easily accessible.
ecs (Easy Coupler System)
- With the Weidemann ecs (Easy Coupler System), hydraulically-operated attachments can be easily and safely changed in full from the operator’s seat. The operator need not leave the machine to manually connect the hydraulic couplings.
- This increases the operator’s safety, protects the environment, and also provides a clear saving in time.
vls (Vertical Lift System)
- The vls (Vertical Lift System) is an operator assistance system, which makes work easier when lifting or lowering of loads. This is because it semi-automatically extends the telescopic boom when lifting and retracts it when lowering without the operator needing to control the telescopic function. This enables a smooth and quick manner of work.
- The almost vertical lifting and lowering movement makes the telehandler with vls very stable because the load does not move into the overload range. Experienced operators can work even faster and safer with vls. Inexperienced operators are given valuable support in lifting and load work.
- The vls (Vertical Lift System) can be applied to two different modes: In the bucket mode, the telescopic boom always automatically retracts within the upper and lower range, and in the upper range the telescopic boom will not automatically extend. This is suitable, for example, for loading work with bulk material. In the stacking mode, the telescopic boom does not automatically retract in the lower range, in the upper range the telescopic boom automatically extends, it is possible to lower the telescopic boom while simultaneously extending it. This is suitable, for example, for stacking work with pallets.
Comfortable and ergonomic operator's seat
- The operator’s seat is ergonomically shaped, well sprung, and adjustable. The optionally available, air-sprung comfort seat provides even more pleasant conditions. A heated seat is available for cold temperatures. This increases the operator’s comfort, which in turn means they are able to work focused with the machine for longer.
- Depending on the model, different seats are available to match the size of the machine. The various seat adjustment options allow individual settings for the operator, providing optimum comfort.
Maintenance
Optimal service friendliness
- For the regular service and maintenance works, the engine hood can be opened with just one hand. Hydraulic oil tank, air filter, engine oil top-up, oil dipstick, and coolant are therefore quickly and easily accessible, and the arising maintenance work can be performed efficiently.
- Through the quick and easy maintenance, the availability of the machine is maximized and the operating costs are optimized.
Easily accessible machine components.
- It is essential to regularly lubricate all the machine’s lubrication points for correct and effective maintenance, and, as a result, the application safety. To save time and make the workload easier, the lubrication points are always in easily accessible positions with Weidemann.
- As the lubrication points are easily accessible, regular lubrication of the machine is particularly easy. In turn, this increases the service life of the machine and the value retention.
Fully automatic central lubrication unit
- The time intervals for the lubrication procedure and the intervals can be set on fully-automatic central lubrication systems. With the regular re-lubrication of all lubrication points, the application safety of the machine is increased.
- With the fully-automatic central lubrication system, machine lubrication is automatic, therefore resolved very comfortably. This means a clear saving in time and an increase in the service life of the machine, thus increases the value retention.
Maintenance-free hydraulic piping
- Generally, short hydraulic hoses are installed in Weidemann machines. This means that the hoses are divided at several points. In the event that a hydraulic hose needs replacing, it is only the effected part that is replaced. As a result, it is not the whole hose connection within the hydraulic circuit that needs to be replaced. This accelerates the repair times enormously, and is also more cost-efficient.

Illumination of the work area
- The lighting can be adapted for different requirements: Halogen lighting, lighting according to StVZO, LED lighting, and additional work lights on the driver's cab or the telescopic arm. This makes it possible to individually work with the machine, in particular when its dark.
- A well-lit work area increases work safety and lets the operator work even longer with the machine, both safely and with concentration.
Easy entry and exit
- With just a few steps, the operator is comfortably in the Weidemann telehandler cab. This is made possible by the large and anti-slip steps, and the easily accessible handles. This increases the level of safety for the operator when entering and exiting the machine.
Color-coded operating concept
- The matured Weidemann operation philosophy and the color-oriented operating concept enable intuitive machine operation for the operator. The quick orientation makes it easier for new or different operators to work with the machine, while simultaneously increasing work safety.
- All operating elements are within reach and the operator has the most important machine information available at a glance on the optimally positioned display.
- The switch and operating elements are divided by color into different groups: gray = electric, red = safety, blue/orange = traction drive, green = hydraulic. As a result of this, quick ascertainability and orientation are guaranteed at any time.
Good visibility of the load
- A telehandler brings advantages into play when dealing with the high stacking of loads. In order to position the load safely at great height, it is particularly the view upwards that is of importance. With Weidemann telehandlers, the cabin and the windshield are designed in such a way that the operator always has the load in view, even a max. lifting height. The three windscreen wipers (front, rear, and roof) guarantee optimal visibility at all times.
Good all-round visibility
- The cabin ensures an excellent overview of the attachment, the immediate area of work, and the entire machine’s surroundings. In combination with the sloping engine hood, the deep-drawn side window to the right and the high seating position guarantee optimal visibility. The good all-round visibility increases safety across the machine’s whole working area.
Good visibility to the right
- The view to the right is often insufficient with many telehandlers. With Weidemann, this is guaranteed as a result of the large, right window, the low positioning of the telescopic boom, and the steep, sloping engine hood. The operator always has the optimal view of the area to the right alongside the machine, as well as the right mirror. This clearly increases safety when working with the machine.
Eco-friendliness
Current emission standard and suitable engine
- In the implementation of the current emissions guideline for the reduction of exhaust emissions and pollutants, it is important that there are no compromises in terms of performance, service life of economic efficiency, despite the strict regulations. To execute this guideline, Weidemann installs the most up-to-date engine technologies, which are equipped with different exhaust after-treatment systems.
- Every machine can be equipped with the appropriate engine version for its size class. This prevents over- or under-powering, which again ensures fuel-saving and economical working.
Electronically-controlled traction drive (ecDrive): Eco mode
- With the eco mode, the engine rpm is reduced to 2200 U/min after reaching the desired driving speed, this makes it possible to reduce the noise and also to save fuel.
- Eco-mode enables comfortable and resource-saving driving, especially over longer distances.
